I like the second one up - like splashed talcom powder.
For the first shot (aah, the rocks), you can't see too much of their texture but I bet they're really nice under the right light.
Maybe make the room much darker and use a spotlight - you know, like those small halogen spots you see in jewellers - playing on the stones from the side. Stand them on black felt and have the light coming from the side.
I'm sure a photo using this setup would look real peachy :)
